FACILITATOR WORKSHOPS BOOKS

As pervasive violence shatters many societies, the call for values echoes through headlines and school hallways as educators, parents and children become increasingly concerned and affected.

The Living Values workshop book series offers a variety of experiential activities for teachers and parents to help them teach children and young adults to develop twelve critical social values: cooperation, freedom, happiness, honesty, humility, love, peace, respect, responsibility, simplicity, tolerance and unity. In each book, these twelve values are explored using age-appropriate lessons that incorporate group discussions, reading, quiet reflection time, songs, artwork and action-oriented activities.

The Living Values Series of five books was initially published in English. It is now also published in Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Hindi, Indonesian Bahasa, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. One or more of the Living Values Activities books are published in Bengali, Farsi, Icelandic and Serbian. The facilitator guide for parent groups is available in Kiswahili. Translation is ongoing in another 17 languages, with some values units or unpublished versions of the books (available only to LVEP Training participants) in Bahasa Malay, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Karen, Khmer, Korean, Papiamento, Romanian, Russian, Thai, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese.
